Turquoise

There has been a lot of interest in using turquoise in interior design recently so I went on a hunt to see if turquoise is as popular in Europe as it is here in the US.

What I found was a wonderfully eclectic apartment in Hammarby seaport in Stockholm where a designer with a love for India has combined her passions into a unique take on Swedish design.

Tricia, how fun! A Swede who likes color - imagine that! (:

I love anybody who dares to show off some personality and think out of the box.

And look how well the Ghost chairs go with the rustic table! And I am now tempted to add some colored bling-bling to my own chandelier.

Thank you for sharing!

Hope your summer is off to a good start. Will you stay in Maine?

Hi Tricia,

I'm really happy the turqouise is showing more in interior design....actually it is one of the colour used quite often in mid 1700 in Sweden.
If you rarely should find a piece with the original paint still left, it's brightness has most likely faded...but I like them too.

Best,
Ingela

I would like to officially extend an invitation to that turquoise armoire to come and live at my house.

Hi, Love your blog and this post!!! The images are gorgeous. Can you tell me if they are a part of a design book? I'd love to buy it. I tried the link but couldn't find the images at mix.com? Thanks for any help. xoxo Beth
